About us

Yellow River Outfitters is a new firearms and outdoor supply store located in Laurel Hill, Florida. Started by good friends and coworkers Radford Covan and John Chessher, YRO is a dream finally realized. With close to 25 combined years with the Florida Department of Corrections, we wanted to work in something we both loved and enjoyed: firearms and the outdoors.

We will be providing our customers with a friendly, family-oriented environment for all their firearm and outdoor needs. Our families were both born and raised here locally, with multiple generations hunting and fishing these same woods and rivers our customers do. We strive to keep that small, home-town feeling when you step in our store. We know one of the most important things about hunting and fishing are the stories that go with it, so pull up a stool at our counter or a rocking chair out front and brag about that “huge” one that broke your line or that “monster” you have on your deer camera.

We will be carrying items for all your outdoor needs from firearms, ammo, clothing, hunting and fishing supplies and more. We talk to our customers and learn as we go to carry those hard-to-get products they need and want. We also focus on carrying as much product as we can from Veteran and retired Law Enforcement Owned companies. We look forward to serving the good folks of Northwest Florida and surrounding areas.
